Rooted: Becoming the Church Together - Week 5

Nov 30, 2025    Grant Foster

We’ve spent weeks talking about what the church does for us—the community, the support, the encouragement, the spiritual growth.

But this week we’re asking a deeper question…

Why did God even create the church in the first place?

If God is all-powerful…

If He doesn’t need anything from us…

Then what was His purpose in forming this thing we call “the church”?

Could it be that the answer is hidden in a short, easily overlooked psalm from David—Psalm 133?

Is it possible that unity, togetherness, and shared worship offer something back to God as a response to everything He’s given us?

And if that’s true… what does that mean for how we show up as followers of Jesus today?

As we close out our series Rooted: Becoming the Church, we’re wrestling with questions that matter

• Is church just a personal benefit, or is it a gift we offer God?

• Does our unity actually delight the heart of our Creator?

• And what role do we play in demonstrating God’s goodness to the world?

If you’re exploring faith, searching for purpose, or wondering if church still has meaning in your life—this conversation is for you.

Come with questions.

Leave with direction.

Let’s become the church God intended from the beginning.
