Lower Still
Why is it so hard to be told what to do? Why do boundaries often feel restrictive, even when they're meant for our good?
This week we begin our new series, Lower Still: Following Jesus Where Surrender Leads, by tackling one of the most misunderstood ideas in our culture: submission. Is surrender weakness, oppression, or the loss of freedom? Or could it actually be an act of trust, honor, and faith?
Looking at Philippians 2, we discover how Jesus—fully God and fully man—chose obedience to the Father's will, even when it led Him to the cross. If Jesus didn't see surrender as weakness, what might we be missing?
Join us as we explore how Christ's example challenges our view of freedom, obedience, and what it truly means to follow God's design for our lives. Because sometimes the path upward in God's Kingdom begins by going lower still.
