What if church was never meant to stop at showing up?

What if faith was always meant to show out?

This week at Bunker Hill Christian Church, we kick off a new year by asking a hard but hopeful question:

👉 Are we just consuming church… or are we commissioned to carry the light?

Jesus didn’t say, “You might be the light.”

He said, “You are the light of the world.”

So what happens when that light stays hidden?

And what could happen if it actually shines?

Through a powerful image of lighthouse keepers—people who carried light not for comfort but for the sake of others—we’re challenged to rethink what following Jesus really looks like. Is faith just about personal growth? Or is it about responsibility? Movement? Action?
