Witness - Week 2

Mar 22, 2026    Grant Foster

What if the cross wasn’t just something to believe in… but something that compels you to act?

What if being a witness to Jesus isn’t just about what you say—but how you live?

This week at Bunker Hill Christian Church, we continue our “Witnesses” series by stepping into one of the most powerful moments in history—the crucifixion. But instead of just asking what Jesus did… we ask:

What did those who saw it do next?

And what does that mean for us today?

Looking at John 19:26–27, we see Jesus, even in His final moments, caring for His mother—and calling His followers to do the same.

So what if the cross is actually calling us to care for the vulnerable around us?

What if:

The overlooked people in your life are your opportunity to reflect Jesus?

Your faith was meant to be seen through compassion?

And following Jesus actually costs something?

We’ll unpack three simple but challenging ways to live this out:

See them. Serve them. Sacrifice for them.

Because the real question is…

If we’ve witnessed the cross—will we live like it?
